One
of four asistencias (sub-missions or satellite missions) operated
by the Alta California missions. Established by Fr. Antonio
Peyri in 1815 as a branch of Mission San Luis, Rey de Francia;
dedicated June 13, 1816. Named for St. Anthony. Damaged by
1899 earthquake. Restored and deeded to Church in 1903 by
the Landmarks Club, which had purchased it from a private
owner.

- Repair and repaint mission
- Repair and restore mission fountains
- Upgrade mission electrical and plumbing systems
- Upgrade mission museum including new display cases, climate
control, lighting and security system to protect artifacts
- Repair and restore mission artwork and paintings
- Restore and landscape mission gardens
- Rebuild outside wall of cemetery
- Re-roof mission southeast wing
- Repair all mission walkways

From I-5:
Exit CA-76 east toward I-15. Travel on CA-76 approximately five
miles east of I-15. A turnout to the asistencia is clearly marked
